About us

Cycolo is a Vancouver-based, family-run business deeply rooted in the cycling community. In 2011, I opened Power2max North America in Vancouver, distributing and selling Power2max power meters to athletes, shops, and clubs across North America. Over the past 15 years, our business has grown steadily, and we have added an increasing number of premium brands that we distribute through three channels: dealers, direct customers, and clubs.

Since opening our warehouse to the public, many customers have jokingly referred to us as the “Costco of bike shops.” We don’t advertise, but we take the time to work with every customer individually, offering honest advice backed by experience and expertise. We are not a traditional bike shop—we are different. Our focus is always on the customer, and our goal is to provide a level of service that most bike shops simply do not. That service starts with deep product knowledge and a genuine passion for cycling.

As our product range expanded beyond power meters, we felt it was time to adopt a more versatile name. That’s why we became Cycolo—a brand that reflects who we are today. We are proud to be an active part of the cycling community. We organize and sponsor races, support clubs and individual riders, and welcome every cyclist who walks through our doors. Advice is always free for those who want to learn. Giving back to the community is important to us because we are cyclists ourselves. We ride, we race, and our experience is what makes the difference when you visit us.

About the Owner – Michael Wegner

I am half German and half Canadian—which means I’m friendly, but efficient. I grew up in Germany and started racing at the age of 14. Over the past 32 years, I have competed in approximately 1,600 races around the world at every level of the sport. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that knowledge should be passed on freely to the next generation.

I am always happy to share what I know, just as others once shared their experience with me. My goal is to pass that same passion and knowledge forward, so it can continue to be shared again and again. I’ve stayed closely connected to the sport and only sell cycling products that I personally use and trust. I don’t believe in selling products simply for the sake of selling. In fact, I would rather not sell anything than sell someone a product they don’t truly need.

It is important to me where products come from and how they are made. As a shop, we stand behind the brands we carry and take our social responsibility to our customers seriously. Honesty, quality, and integrity are at the core of everything we do.
